"the master of notes", that's the title given by Martin Luther -- himself an able amateur composer -- to Josquin des Prez. Tomorrow's the anniversary of Josquin's death. On this occasion our priest will say mass for him, and we'll be singing the First Nocturn of the Officium Defunctorum with invitatorium and lessons by Morales and the famous Requiem by Richafort.
