There are a couple of art museums that allow download of high quality images of public domain art. You could find one or two and try a large format print (I like Costco for these). The two sites I've seen are the open collection at Getty:

For the technologically and mercantiley challenged among us... ok, for me, could you explain this procedure? Do I just download an image from Getty onto a flash drive and bring it in to the photography department? Do they also mount prints? What kind of cost for a poster-sized print? Thanks for any information.
