Does any one have one or can compose one.

    thanks,
  • What do you have in mind and why?

    THANKS!
  • Donr,

I'm willing to try. I've never seen a 3-voice setting of it, but I have written 3-voice music on a number of occasions.

By "BASED ON THE CHANT", which of the two common chants did you have in mind?

If you'd like to take this off-combox, I can be reached through the mail system here.

    God bless,

    Chris

    Noel and Chris,

I have been doing the Marian Antiphons (Simple Tone) for a year now. The congregation knows them all pretty well.

I have been introducing some harmonies where ever I can but I have only found SATB harmonies for this piece that are based on the Chant or some other settings that would be pretty tough for my choir.

We have 3 Sopranos, 2 Altos and Me (Bar/Tenor) So that is why I need 3 voice and not 4.

I was going to attempt it myself but I'm a rookie and want it to be beautiful.
I don't need it right away, but would like to start working on it so that by the end of OT we can do the parts unaccompanied.

It needs to be equal part not diffing melodies.
  • I'll try to find (and upload) a 3-voice setting I wrote of Jesu Dulcis Memoria, and also one of O Salutaris Hostia , for the latter of which I used the melody of Conditor alme siderum.
