The Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul (June 29) falls on a Sunday this year. I suppose there are a half dozen threads on this forum that have some of my texts for the feast on them, but if you're looking to find them all in one place, I've put them on the Chant Cafe here.
Years ago I put together a selection from various hymnals for just such occasions.I am not very computer literate, but I may be able to get my voluntary typist to put them on this site,I will give references from Anglican hymnbooks Forsaken once and thtrice denied (C F Alexander)EH 227 AMR 323 Thou art the Christ,O Lord (W W How) AMR 555 O Rock of ages, one foundation (H A Martin) AMR 554 We bless the God and Father (P carrington) Where are you going Peter my friend (David Mowbray) Look up by failure daunted (P Dearmer) SP 232 Creator of the rolling flood (R Heber) Where the prison bars surround him J B de Santeuil trans I Williams) Dear God we offer thanks and praise (F Samuel Janzow) Cephas and Peter,heaven-taught name (Christopher Wordsworth) How blessed is the force of prayer (Christopher Wordsworth) With golden splendour and with roseate hues of morn trans by T A Lacey ofAurea luce EH 226
By All Your Saints Still Striving - see second sheet for verses for Sts Peter and Paul. I most commonly use AURELIA for this hymn, as I prefer to keep St Theodulph for "All Glory, Laud and Honour."
