Just downloaded and played it, Charles. It looked great on paper, and it's even more charming in reality. It's a wonderful example of the hymn-with-variations genre and is just as ingenious and delightful as Andrew Carter's A maiden most gentle.
I can't wait to debut this at our May Crowning and many thanks again for sharing! -
Well, some of the harmonic concepts are aligned with ryand's lovely post on contextualizaton of the melody, particularly with very rudimentary melodies such as "Fatima's Cove/A treze de Maio."
