    Help.

The fantastic Victoria website managed by Nancho Alvarez is down. At least, the page dedicated to the "Spanish Palestrina" is still down. Now I can't get my regular dose.

Please. Someone through a bucket of water over me. I'm getting jittery.

Whew! Easter without Victoria is like a night sky without stars or a girl without freckles.

Wow. But, as the custodian of the Victoria page at CPDL, I do understand!

It's so weird...I'm sitting here at 9:47PST, most exhaustive HW of my 63 years, and we did not sing a note of Tomas this year. Wow, how'd that happen?
Sang Byrd on Holy Thursday. Didn't think a moment of mrcopper, dagnabit danyahbeet!
Oh well, there is next year. And I'll consult with Lil' Joe in advance.

Off topic: vodka is nice after the last Easter evening Mass.

At my old parish, it was custom to pregame Easter Vigil with Chartreuse.

    SIR, yellow or green?
It is quite the apertif. I once made a bartender at the Chicago Hyatt (at an ACDA convention where I first met Morton Lauridsen) climb the bar ladder as they put it on the highest shelf level. Guess they figured no one would ever order one.
    They figured wrong.

Chartreuse, in the alcoholic sense, is at the top of Jacob's Ladder, if you ask me. And it was Romulan Ale Green.

I think I'm just going to head over to your page on CPDL to pull me through this, Dr. Giffen.

. . . and hopefully poor Stimson won't suddenly go bonkers and become a devotee of Rossini and end up in rehab again. : )

Timing must be everything ... because the site is up for me right now.

Perhaps he doesn't know Victoria's secret. ;-) Maybe Victoria is being coy.

We may have to cold turkey on Palestrina or De Rore.

    Victoria, *WE* are not amused!

As for relapsing into Rossini, those were dark times . . .
