    A tireless supporter of Catholic music, a wonderful choirmaster, a kind supporter and gracious person. He died last evening. He will be missed.

    Of the handful of occasions I was blessed to have "face time" with maestro, I happened to have a recording of the LA Guitar Quartet playing on the stereo to their arrangement of Lauridsen's "Dirait on," and he was transfixed by its beauty in that form. Gave him the CD, heck yeah. Also, when he critiqued my high school choir at Chapman U. his comments were so wonderful they hang framed on my office wall. He is a soul for all ages! And a most generous servant of our art and its practicioners.
