I have a question regarding the Gospel reading on Palm Sunday. We use OCP heritage missal at my parish(for readings, 90% of music comes from the RirualSong hymnal) where I'm music director. In the Gospel, OCP has put the crowd part for the congregation to respond during the reading. Is this liturgically correct?? In the new worship IV hymnal, I saw the gospel reading written as normal with no indication as to having the congregation be apart of the reading by responding to the crowd part.
I feel like 90% of parishes have their congregation be part of the Gospel but is that correct? Perhaps Fr. Krisman and Fr. Chepponis can give me priestly thoughts as well as fellow music directors. Happy 4th Sunday of Lent to everyone!!
