Director of Sacred Music and Organist wanted at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fredericktown, KY (of the Archdiocese of Louisville). Position requires a musician committed full-time to Catholic liturgical music in the Ordinary Form of the Mass with possibility of an Extraordinary Form (Latin) Mass in the near future. This position also includes directing existing youth and young adult cantors, building up an adult choir, and the possibility of a youth choir. In addition to three weekend Masses and occasional funerals, weddings, and Solemnities at Holy Trinity, there is also one Sunday Mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Manton, KY. Preference given to a degreed musician with experience in parish ministry.
Holy Trinity (http://www.archlou.org/parishes/holy-trinity-fredericktown/) established in 1883, today worships in a traditional, Bedford stone Church built in 1955. It is nestled in a beautiful valley about fifteen minutes east of Bardstown, KY which was named "The Most Beautiful Small Town in America" in the 2012 Best of the Road Competition sponsored by Rand McNally and USA Today. Holy Rosary (http://www.archlou.org/parishes/holy-rosary-manton/), established in 1848, still worships in its original, historic Church and is located on the banks of the beautiful Hardin's Creek, a branch of the Beech Fork River.
Excellent salary/benefits. An attractive opportunity in a beautiful area of one of the birthplaces of Catholicism in the United States. Excellent opportunity to work with a new, young pastor and build on a long tradition of liturgical musician volunteers with much excitement and potential for growth and development.
Mail or email resume with cover letter to Fr. Hardesty at the above address.
