Could someone please help me identify this alleluia? My predecessor used it and it's very nice. I just want to be sure to credit/ask permission of the appropriate folks. Thanks!

Going to "bump this" in case anyone missed it...
  • Bruce, do you happen to have any accompaniment for this, just out of curiosity?

    Yes.
  • It very close to an Alleluia by Theodore Marier in his Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Canticles (#94). I say it's "very close" because in the Marier version the "-ia" on the second alleluia has only two notes.

Of course, it's based on the Te Deum chant, so it's hard to say whether or not your version copies from Marier or relies on the chant independently.

  • Proulx wrote a mass on Te Deum. Wonder if it is from that. I will check tomorrow.

I figured it might be some sort of variant of Marier...just wasn't sure. Thanks for confirming my suspicions!
  • Not Proulx.
