Oops sent too soon! One last thought: It’s seriously the best thing out there right now and flexible enough to fit in any parish that cares about tradition and beauty (in either Form). A lot of these melodies are truly heavenly!

Clarification: melismatic plainchant. It doesn’t flow well in congregational singing. If you proof read and have looked carefully at it, I’m sure you’ll agree the scholarship is excellent.

Gamba - I do not believe these hymns can be found in other hymnals. Some perhaps, but many are not. We sang some of these at past Sacred Music Symposiums and the melodies are absolutely sublime. Don’t think you’re going to find these in other hymnal…

There are some instructions in the beginning of the book and in #6 it addresses this exact point. It says that these are chants that are already so widely available in many other books that it’s not aiming to reproduce what can very easily be found …
