Schubert's Deutsche Messe

I was at first delighted the GIA was reissuing the Deutsche Messe with the ICEL texts, supposedly revised by Proulx himself. The perusal copy was mildly dismaying though, and for this Eastertide at St. David's I went ahead with my own Gloria, set to Schubert's Offertorium music, and then later dealt with the troped Agnus. Suggestions still welcome!

I like it! Now if I could get a 4-part choir edition. I was planning to buy the whole setting from GIA at 85 cents apiece for pew cards, and $4. something for choir SATB copies.
  • I, too, am not wild about the revised setting of the Gloria. I just ordered copies of the Mass, and will use the Sanctus and Agnus Dei, coupled with the missal chants for the Mysterium Fidei and Amen, and Proulx's Gloria Simplex. I think that combination should work well.

I kind of liked the revised Gloria. Simple, yet festive, and easy to follow.
