St. Francis of Assisi Parish in New Britain, CT is seeking a full time Music Director, for the soon to be four consolidated New Britain Parishes.

The Music Director will oversee all Sacred Music, including providing organ accompaniment and cantoring at three of five the weekend Masses; contracting musicians and selecting music for the other Masses; establishing, rehearsing, and conducting a joint parish choir; arranging music for funerals and weddings in coordination with the requests of the family; working to produce worship aids; maintaining and organizing service for all parish instruments and sound systems.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum four-year college degree in music as well as prior experience in Church Music performance. A understanding, commitment, and love for the mission of the Roman Catholic Church and her teachings particularly in the areas of faith and morals is required.
