    I'm not sure what to make of it.

    The author is certainly entitled to his feelings (anger, sadness, abandonment), but I wonder about his projection of those feelings onto "many Catholics around the world." I'm also not sure he has his facts straight about Benedict's post-papal plans.

    It seems an odd analysis to me, because I get the sense generally that those most sad to see him go are also the ones most grateful for the act being described over and over as one of "selfless humility."

    Thoughts? Anyone else going through the seven stages of grief?

    I'm not sure what to make of it.

    Venting. Which is fine as far as it goes, but eventually one has to decide if they trust the promises of Our Lord about His Church or they don't.

    Anyway, in the recent videos I've seen of the Holy Father he is looking like age is catching up to him fast.
