    Parish of the Holy Eucharist seeks a part-time Music Minister for its 9:30 AM Novus Ordo Sunday Mass at Saint Jude, Freeport, Maine. Candidate will possess strong liturgical playing skills on organ, piano or both; be responsible for planning and executing all liturgical music; will actively recruit, train and schedule cantors and rehearse a small year-round choir; and shall engage the congregation‘s full, active and conscious participation with a commitment to incorporating music from the vast Catholic treasury and traditional hymnody. Familiarity with chant and antiphons desired, or a willingness to learn. Rehearsal with choir/cantors typically occurs before Mass. This position is also expected to provide music for Holy Days, Parish-wide liturgies, Sacrament Masses, seasonal musical events and be available for occasional weddings and funerals. Ability to coordinate and rehearse a children’s choir for seasonal liturgies a plus. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Music, (Master’s preferred), strong choral conducting and interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of pre- and post-conciliar church musical documents.
