What in particular is a treasure?
  • Judith M. Kubicki, associate professor of theology at Fordham, opens her article in the Dec-Jan 1008 issue of Pastoral Music (pp. 30-32) as follows:
    Liturgical music-making is a many-splendored thing, a "treasure of inestimable value!"


    The article nowhere mentions the first part of the quotation of Sacrosanctum Concilium: "The musical tradition of the universal Church is..."

    That inclusion does indeed change the inference.
