St. Daniel the Prophet Roman Catholic Parish, Scottsdale, has an immediate opening for a full-time Music Minister. The Music Minister will work in collaboration with the Pastor in developing goals and objectives for the Music Ministry of the parish.

Essential Job Functions: The responsibilities of this position include providing music for weekend, Holy Day and Special liturgies and/or events, as well as additional duties as outlined in the complete job description. The individual hired for this position will work to recruit new musicians, and will develop and collaborate with new and current choir ministry volunteers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Must be able to integrate music with the liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church in the planning of worship celebrations; must be able to play the organ and piano; must be able to read, sing and communicate in both Spanish and English.

Minimum Qualifications: Some college education in music, liturgy or related field is needed, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in a music related discipline or 3 years previous experience in a parish setting; must be a Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church.
