Anyone else notice an under-represented and oppressed people, conspicuously not mentioned?

I've come across this hymn before, and that was immediately my first thought.

    AW, as in "all" children?
Jesus Christ wasn't mentioned, come to think of it, on the invite list either.
But, then again, neither was Westboro Baptist, no small favor.

I'm thinking of all the unborn children who don't get a place at the table.

Does this hymn appear in one of the new GIA hymnals? I wouldn't be surprised.

I believe it is in Gather Comp, but I could be wrong.

Hey Adam- given all the things you believe, how come you hang out with conservatives and traditionalists all the time?
Because any church that is liberal enough for me is way too liberal for me.

You're correct. Just looked it up. Right there under "Social Concern"

Touch the Earth Lightly is another doozy. Nearly all these hymns come from Hope Publishing Co.

Well, if anyone ever wants a hymn for the UN Agenda 21 Millennium Development Goals (peace be upon them), I know where to send him now. However, any church that dares to sing stanza #5 of this rubbish had better be ready for pickets.

  • We are creators....... We DO NOT create. We might bring justice, peace and share love, but don't think we create. All gifts from God.
