Saint Martin of Tours: Louisville, KY
  • I feel odd about posting their job here if they themselves chose not to post it here, but it's open, it's paying handsomely, and they want a degreed professional. Check out the AGO site if you're a member. If you're not a member, join!

I wouldn't assume that anyone chose not to publish it here. Many clergy just aren't familiar with CMAA.

The opening is posted in other places as well, including the KY ACDA site, so there's no reason not to present the information here:

Director of Sacred Music & Organist wanted at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, an historic large parish in Louisville Kentucky.

Position requires a musician committed full-time to Catholic liturgical music in the Ordinary Form and the Extraordinary Form (Latin) Mass including directing the choir. Preference given to degreed musician.

St. Martin's Church, (http://www.stmartinoftourschurch.org) established in 1853, serves as a focal point for sacred music in the city of Louisville. The original organ installed in 1861 by Koehnken and Grimm of Germany was replaced in 1897 by Farrand and Votney with further updating in 1949, 1978 and in 1990 to its present status with 37 ranks and 3 manuals. The organ combined with the spectacular acoustic of St. Martin's is well acclaimed.

Excellent salary/benefits. An attractive musical opportunity for the right musician in one of America’s most affordable cities with a robust cultural scene.

Please contact Reverend Paul Beach at fatherbeach@gmail.com to request the full details.
