The Announcement of Easter and the Moveable Feasts

Next Sunday, there is the option of having a deacon or cantor announce the movable feasts of the year. The ICEL site (which I assume mirrors the musical content of the Missal) provides music for this here.

I've quickly adapted it for this year, inserting the proper dates and months for 2013.

I've edited the above post to include a version with neumes.
  • Anybody have a good source for this in Spanish?

To clarify: Is this is announcement optional, indeed? May it be omitted? Can it be spoken rather than sung? Can the priest sing it, rather than a deacon or cantor? (Not that any of these are ideal.)

Yes, it's optional. The roman missal says:

Where it is the practice, if appropriate, the moveable Feasts of the current year may be proclaimed after the Gospel, according to the formula given below, pp. 1448-1449.
