Votive Masses in the Ordinary Form in Latin with Gregorian Chant?
  • What votive Masses are available for this form of the Latin Rite for which the propers in Gregorian Chant are available? Are we limited to those found in the Gregorian Missal?

The current (1974) Graduale Romanum has a section (pp. 650-666) specifying the chants for votive Masses (15 headings) and Masses for various needs (23 headings). In most cases, the chants are taken from elsewhere in the GR.

The Gregorian Missal doesn't have everything that appears in the GR; it is, as the title indicates, the "Gregorian Missal for Sundays".

  • Also, the Graduale Romanum doesn’t have propers for all of the Votive Masses and Masses for Various Needs in the Missale Romanum.
