Searching for Te Dicimus Praeconio
  • Can anyone help me find the Gregorian notation for the hymn, Te Dicimus Praeconio, sung for the feasts of the Immaculate Conception and the Apparition at Lourdes?

Um... I don't know where it got the tunes and neumes, but this Scribd document has neume tunes for a host of Latin hymns. If you search for "praeconio", you'll find the tune and hymns that go to it very quickly.
  • As it is a hymn in terms of Hymns in the Divine Office, it should be in an antiphonal.
  • Maureen, I did indeed find it on the Scribd document you linked, with a bit different wording. It's a start! Thanks for the tip. I have had no luck finding it in an Antiphonal, thus far. If anyone comes across a complete copy, could you alert me, please?
  • It seems to be a hymn for matins, so normal diurnal antiphonals can't contain it; however I saw a reference to the Liber hymnarius, p. 476.
