A motet appropriate for Corpus Christ, first Masses, etc.

I am sorely tempted to revise the opening subject of this motet, which was written on the occasion of Fr. Pasley's silver jubilee last year, but while I ponder that, you all can have a look at it. Feel free to make use of it in your parishes. Let me know if you find it to be worthy of performance--or even, perhaps more crucially, why you don't:-)

    Michael,

This seems to be the one we performed at last year's Colloquium; the question most of us had then after singing through it . . . why take the altos up to a high F? Twice?!? I'd re-think that . . . otherwise, it's nice.

Well, the thing about the first F in the Alto is that it's a deliberate imitation of the soprano.
  • Michael,

I’m curious about your rationale for the handling of dissonance in this piece. Is there any method here?
