Vibrant suburban parish seeking Director of Sacred Music. Should be well versed in the Church’s documents on sacred music from Tra le Sollecitudini through Sacrosanctum Concilium, and the Bishop’s, Sing to the Lord, especially recognizing the premier place of chant and polyphony in the Church’s musical treasury. Should be aware of and open to the direction of Our Holy Father, Benedict XVI in his direction regarding renewal in the liturgy. Proficiency in organ and conducting required. Director will oversee all aspects of music program and collaborate with pastor and parish staff. Must be practicing Catholic with evident faith life and reverential approach to liturgy. Collaboration, professionalism, and flexibility, also necessary. Our Liturgy complemented by new pipe organ- three manual and pedal design, 569 speaking pipes and MIDI.
