Handbell Choir Director

Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Whitehall is seeking candidates for the position of Handbell Choir Director. The experienced adult handbell choir and children’s handbell choir work with three octaves of handbells and five octaves of handchimes. The successful candidate would be a pastoral musician who is familiar with Roman Catholic liturgy, has experiencing directing handbell choirs, can read music and understands music theory, and has excellent communication skills. Position will require Director to be present at weekly rehearsals and at the Masses that the bell choir will play. Individual hired will be required to obtain a current background check for Care, Custody of Children, as well as attend a Protecting God’s Children Session along with completing other required Code of Conduct documents.
