timely postings
  • I enjoy very much the postings of Gregorian chant for graduals, introits, Psalms, etc. Too often, however, they are posted way to late for me to make use of them for a specific Sunday or feast day. A week before the Sunday they are due to be sung is too late for me to use. A month ahead of time would be great!!! For instance, the Introit for All Saints Day- I used a good soloist on that b/c simply not enough time to teach the choir.

What do you mean by "not enough time"?
  • Some others that are newly composed. For the others, I guess you're right- I just wasn't thinking. Remembering the ones posted here by someone from Scotland? Very nice, too.

Sorry for taking up this space.

Sorry Donnaswan, it was late, and I took "Gregorian chant" in the very narrow sense (Latin, squarenotes)!

Yes, many other offerings appear in chunks nearer their time for use,
and they are less easy to locate the next time around,
and when they finally pop up in conversation again there might be not enough time.

My coping system is using my blogger.com weblog because it has a post option to
specify a date and time (any timestamp from Jan 1, 1970 forward into the future).
I schedule things in the future for specific weekends (e.g., preludes, postludes)
    and review approaching items frequently.
  • Yours is a system I have always intended to use, but somehow I never get around to it. I prefer writing things down with a pencil and paper. LOLOL
Yes- I didn't mean the normal Gregorian things. I wasn't very clear and it was late.
