    I am looking for more information on the following hymn. All I have is the text, which I found at Hymnsrepo: A Catholic Hymn Repository. It is based on 1 Thessalonians:5 16-18. If you have the tune and it is not under copyright, I would appreciate seeing it.

    The search was actually for a friend of mine who is a member of the Dutch Reformed Church. I think she was looking for something based on the bible verse and found it. It said it was "Catholic" and I think I'm the only Catholic she knows. I wonder if she will find it not in keeping with what her perceptions of Catholic music might be. It certainly reminds me of the music I learned in elementary school.

    Sung by former cannibals to the tune of "Jesus Loves Me" after being taught by English missionaries. I remember it from a Wodehouse book, but don't remember which one. At least, I think it was Wodehouse.

    A good sniff of the realities of early XXth century Catholic missionary efforts in China (and of everyday Catholicism at home) may be had from reading A.J. Cronin's The Keys of the Kingdom. Rather disillusioning.
