    All of the music in these books is original music written for the organ manuals without pedal and, except in a few circumstances, not arranged.

    This was due to the knowledge of composers that there were, as today, fewer people playing pipe organs than those playing other organs, so writing two versions of pieces with and without pedals made good economic sense then as well as today.

    Neil Weston has been a valuable resource in finding music that is suitable and also for writing the playing notes and introductions to the books.
