    Anyone recognize the plainchants in Messe, Op. 4? I'm guessing Dumont or some such...

    By a great coincidence I recently discovered that the Credo of Saint-Saëns' Mass (Opus 4) is a harmonization of Henri Dumont's Messe Royale.

    Liszt also used Dumont's Credo as the basis for the Credo in his Hungarian Coronation Mass.
