    Church of All Saints in Minneapolis has announced an opening for a Director of Music/Organist.

    Job Description

    Director of Music and Organist for Ordinary and Extraordinary (Latin – Tridentine) Forms of the Roman Catholic Liturgy. The position includes supervision of a Chant Schola, Polyphonic Group(s), and Childrens’ Choir. Full Job Description available upon request.

    Qualifications

    Ideal candidate would be knowledgeable of Roman Catholic liturgy in both the Ordinary English form and Extraordinary (Latin-Tridentine) form. The candidate should have the ability to lead and develop an existing Chant Schola, Polyphony Group, Childrens’ Choir, and Adult four-part choir emphasizing the traditional Latin music of the Church.

    Institution Description

    The Church of All Saints is located in Northeast Minneapolis. It is staffed by priests of the Fraternitas Sacerdotalis Sancti Petri (FSSP) and follows the charisms of that group. Please refer to the website for FSSP Minneapolis for more information

    Community Description

    The original community was Polish immigrants from the late 1800\’s and early 1900\’s. The congregation had been declining and FSSP took over the parish in July 2013. Attendance at the English Masses remains low, but the Latin 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass regularly draws more than 300 people. Many of these are young families.
