    Just like the book of acts, we were at the 9:15 mass and while Communion was being distributed, the building shook. In our case it was not the Holy Spirit, but actually it was a 3.3 eathquake. It happened during Communion and the whole place shook for 3 seconds, lights went out and it was pretty scary. But to everyones credit, we missed only one beat of the hymn and everyone kept singing!

    The offertory antiphon for Easter Day: Terra tremuit... perhaps it was just 'tremuiting' a few weeks late.

    Concerning the offertory "Terra tremuit," it does not really represent an earthquake; rather it represents the resurrection. On "dum resurgeret" the melody rises a seventh to a peak with reiterated notes. On "in judicio Deus," a rising fifth plus a third suggests the call of a trumpet suitable for judgment.
