I'll be there. Walking two miles a day from now until then to get in shape.

I'll be there, all the way from the Massachusetts Tundra, cum bow-tie and tea-pot. This makes No. 3 (SLC '12 & '13), and I'm glad to be going again. I have to say, once you go once you get hooked; the only down-side is that there are too many great people to meet.

Who else will be doing the Composers' Forum with David Hughes?

I am going this year. Am excited about the new organ in the chapel at DU. I went to school there for a little while.

Will leave on Friday afternoon to meet my blessed spouse returning from la sainte terre (La France.)

I wish I could go, but alas, I cannot afford to do so this time. It was such a wonderful experience last year that I am yearning to go again.

If God is willing I will be an American by then, but this Canadian-born fellow will be there and will offer several delightful lectures.

No, but if I found an NHL stadium that would let me play every game of a season, I would PAY THEM to let me have the gig.

Although I won't be attending this year, here's something I would like to see if ever I make it to another - perhaps a time or place or table could be appointed where forum members could gather to meet, if they wanted to do so. At my one and only in SLC '13, I did recognize a very few faces and some names; I did not, however, feel comfortable approaching anyone. Just a thought.

As I explained in another thread, quite extenuating circumstances yet again prevent me from celebrating my 75th birthday while attending my first Colloquium. Sorry I cannot be with you, but it is really necessary to remain here during that time.

Prayers for your wife and early best wishes for your birthday! Hope you're having a lovely spring in Minnesota. I still can't get used to seeing the pretty spring colors after white and gray for so long.

July 2nd, the date on which the Continental Congress actually voted to declare independence from Great Britain. Coincidentally, July 2nd is also my wife's birthday. Also, my father's birthday was July 4th.
