I have a kids Mass to sing for this Thursday and wondered if I could find some version of the propers for the day, but have no idea how the Ordinary Form works anymore - can't find the daily missal I used to have.

    Can be Latin or English.

Everything you need is right here. Just click on the part you are looking for: http://www.ccwatershed.org/liturgy/feast/ash-wednesday-b,210/

Ben's links to illuminare aren't working. Maybe illuminare changed their api or something?

Corpus Christi Watershed only have Sundays and feast days, but still a great resource to keep in mind.

The Liturgies.net website seems alright - though the communion verse for Thursday after Ash Wednesday doesn't match Ben's. And it doesn't have any Offertory Antiphons.

I guess with the latitude in what to sing at Mass then even getting something close to the proper proper is good enough.

So far I'm adapting from GregoBase. The Communion verse at liturgies.net matches a Dominican antiphon for Laudes. And the introit matches an introit from the liber, except missing a chunk out of the middle.

Anyway, gives something to go with Forty Days and Forty Nights.

Veromary, you're correct, it appears the api broke.

Until I get around to fixing it, it is still usable by copying the URL of any of the entires on my page, and adding "dev." to the beginning of the url given (ie, from http://illuminarepublications.com/whatever to http://dev.illuminarepublications.com/whatever)

  • If you have a copy of the Graduale Romanum, it will show you the week-day (feria) propers.

    Hi veromary,

Regarding the issue with mine not matching, mine are translations of the graduale romanum, whereas the ones you found are from the roman missal. For more information on that, read here. While the RM propers can be sung, I think it's safe to say the GR ones are preferred.

Also, I plan on uploading a PDF momentarily of the thursday after ash wednesday's propers from the GR (in english), if I can get a decent connection.

Actually, never mind, forget the PDF. Here they are, with citations from SEP. They are already there.

    • of: Ad te, Dómine, levávi (sep pg 2)
