St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Zanesville, Ohio (a parish of 1,000+ families, run by Dominicans), seeks a full-time organist and music director, to begin as soon as possible.

Basic responsibilities include playing organ and directing four times on weekends, twice on holy days of obligation, and once on Mondays (school Mass); forming and directing two parish choirs (adult and children’s). Weddings and funerals extra. The church is equipped with a two-manual 24-rank Bunn Minnick pipe organ.

Familiarity with Catholic liturgy indispensable, and aptitude for Gregorian chant and polyphony highly desirable. Compensation package includes benefits as per the Diocese of Columbus. Salary $27-40K, commensurate with abilities and experience.
