    Brilliant!
The bit at the end with the voice trying to (I think) achieve harmonic overtones was creepy and perfect!

Actually, this is spoofing Axl Rose at the end of the song "Don't Cry": http://youtu.be/SLBbgwN1Mao?t=4m25s

Uh, I'm 63, all I know about Axl is that he wore a bandana, had lots of tattoos and substance abuse issues!
I do know that Slash was a pretty good shredder, tho', not bad for a geezer! ;-)

I didn't expect many here to know the reference. Rather, that fact is a perfect example of the whole point of the video. It is pop ephemera known primarily by a small slice of the world that was young at the height of popularity of Axl's caterwauling. It's a good testimony of why we should be suspicious when people champion crappy liturgical music under the umbrella of acculturation. I can't remember the Church document, but I remember it talked about some toleration for it, as long as those cultural things were permanent, and not "transitory or ephemeral". Well, not only is popular music transitory and ephemeral, but the very nature of youth is transitory and ephemeral, which is why attempts to be relevant to youth are like launching a ship with a 20-foot torpedo hole below the waterline: it is sunk the moment it hits the water.

Enjoyed very much - have you seen their take-down of the heresy of the shamrock?
    Priceless.

Apparently the presence of Axle Rose is sort of an in-joke with the Lutheran Satire channel:
